Our Statement of Faith

We believe that the entire Bible, including both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and the final authority for Christian faith, life, and practice.

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and sovereign Ruler of all things.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is the only Mediator between God and humanity and the only Savior of the world. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, shed His blood to accomplish redemption, satisfied the righteous demands of God’s justice, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, now sits at the right hand of the Father, and will personally return according to His promise to judge the living and the dead.

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, leads them to repentance and faith in Christ, and dwells in believers as our Comforter and Helper. He comforts, teaches, guides, and equips believers with spiritual gifts for growth, service, and the building up of the Church, continually transforming their lives to become more like Christ.

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God and possesses dignity and value. However, because of Adam’s sin and rebellion, sin entered the world, and all have fallen short of the glory of God. No one can be justified before God by personal effort or works. Salvation is found only through the completed redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Whoever repents and receives Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord receives forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life.

We believe that the universal Church is composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ throughout the world, with Christ as its only Head. The local church is a spiritual community where believers gather to worship, learn God’s truth, build one another up, and serve together. We desire to follow Scripture, rely on the Holy Spirit, exalt Christ, and build a church that faithfully bears witness as the Body of Christ, so that our God may be glorified.

We believe that the Church is our spiritual home on earth. Here, we receive spiritual nourishment and are built up; together we learn to serve and grow in Christ; we love and care for one another, sharing both joys and sorrows while enjoying the grace of the Lord together. We are also called to proclaim the gospel, to be the salt and light of the world, and to bear witness to Christ.

We believe that, according to Scripture, marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman.
